LEGO

Lego is, rightfully, considered one of the most famous kid’s toys of all time, and it is THE toy for kids the world over.  Now before, Lego was just a bunch of blocks that you put together.  Not very creative.  But over the years, Lego has expanded it’s brand of products to include all kinds of toys.   They include Star Wars, Famous people, famous monuments, etc.,  Really anything you can consider, Lego has, and they are expanding every time.  That’s what makes them so unique and fun and why kids love them so much.  These great toys help build the imagination of not only kids, but adults alike.  They are the cool toy for any generation.  You can even do it with your kids and create and great bonding moment that lasts a lifetime.

Included in the boxes of each Lego Set are directions of how to put together a particular project, along with pictures to help because many people need visuals in order to piece together what something should look like.  There are also included Some Accessories that go well with the projects that you buy. And also, if you have younger children that want to play with Lego’s, then they have customized blocks specifically for younger children so that they will be able to play with them at those younger ages.

As i was mentioning before, Lego is a great for creating and encouraging imagination.   What i mean by that is that children as well as young adults can use there creativity and imagination in order to create any kind of structure that they want.  There are so Many Different ways to build a specific lego set, not just the one that came with the lego set.   You can even interchange between two different sets in order to come up with a UNIQUE design of Your Own.  That’s what i like to do.   And the feeling of self-accomplishment after you have put in a lot of work for a particular project just makes you feel great inside.  There is nothing better!!

Now if you are really into Lego, then there are resources and clubs online that you can join for free.  It is a wonderful place where ideas can be exchanged between kids as well as adults on what you are building, as well as ideas on what can be built.  These are message boards that allow the dissemination of information between people.   There are usually newsletters that someone can sign up to that also gives information on what is out there, product-wise, and instruction on how best to use your Lego Sets.  Great information.

With many parents worried that the high tech world that we live in today will not allow children to use there creative side, well that is where Lego truly shines.  It allows for complete use of ones imagination as well as motor skills which is so important for a childs development.   And with the new themes that come out all the time, they are even trying to cater to the older crowd, so it’s not just for younger people.  And after all, we need to keep our motor skills and imagination going as well, so we need Lego as well.  So go out there and get yourself a Lego set.  You will be glad you did!!
