Is the Hogwarts Castle, from Harry Potter, a real place or just a set?!?
there is a castle in wales, england that is the foundation for hogwart castle, the main hall in harry potter is the great hall in an old cathedral. much has been made of sets and cgi effects, but whereever possible location shooting has been used. i am currently involved with a film at pinewood studios, and have talked with the cast and some of the crew involved. we are scheduled to do our location filming in actual buildings from the period, that are in vienna and outside of potsdam, germany, the home of the babelsberg studios
