Will having too many keys on a Key Chain make the ignition go bad?
I have heard that if you have too many keys on your Key Ring while the key is in the ignition, that it will make the ignition go bad. Anyone know if that is true? If so how?
Sometimes.
Generally the answer is no. However, I have heard of some Saturn ignition switches being broken by the weight of too many keys. If you have a Saturn, you might try to keep them light, otherwise, I would not fret.
