City Fire Station

City Fire Station
Do you think a Fire Station in New York let me just go and see them?

I have a new job selling products fire department and I understand the market a little better. Would it be appropriate to enter a local fire station and ask if I can talk and see what they do? I'm not trying to sell anything, I just want to understand their problems and how they speak.

Nobody wants a guy walking around their "home" or place of work (The wide above, you can get easier access .. especially in that dress / heels) – while a fire station is essentially a public place, also is very controlled and vital to the community. This is the response time, preparation and assistance to area residents. While people unannounced visit – which depends on the relationship you build. Also, you can expect firefighters to be a bit more suspicious of adult men who want to visit, especially in New York post-9/11, Right? You can not simply wait for show-up and allowed to walk around and inspect / observe the place, right? You may want to have a focus more formal, as well. By sending a letter or email to the FDNY. That way, you can dial 2-3-4 or more visits.
