Parents out there – suggestions for toys a 5 year old boy will actually play with …..?

We discovered that our house is full of "girl toys" from his two older sisters, but few toys our 5 year old plays with reality. We have lots of games, puzzles, crafts – but perhaps wrong for him because he does not show much interest. We also have Duplo Blocks, but those who do not seem to capture their interest. He loves video games, but I would like to study something different. Any suggestions for toys your sons have enjoyed recently or in recent years can recommend? Thanks in advance for your help!

My five in the fall. He is very busy and active, much more interested in exploring (ie getting into things) than it is in toys, but there are some toys that never seems to tire of. You may want to look into the Imaginext toy line. My son has the whole Imaginext castle, and he loves it to. The castle is solid and has no sound effects, what we like, but really cool and trap doors, hidden passages, a dungeon, I remember so many men to count with, but you can buy other knights, dragons, trolls, even a magician, to go with the set. There is also a battle wagon with horses and a battleship. None of the accessories very expensive. Another thing I like about this set is how imaginative my son to play with him. There is also a whole pirate ship we have not, but it looks very funny. Imaginext also makes some very cool dinosaur toys. If you son likes dinosaurs, it might as offered. Many of them walk and roar or shake his head. My son is also obsessed with insects. In fact, one reason why it is difficult to play with his toys is because does not do anything but go out and catch insects. We bought a butterfly net and about ten "collection jars." He is very happy to spend hours in a only time catching insects. We've also ordered butterfly kits, raised the caterpillars, and released the butterflies. She loved it! My son does not like to do projects such as helping develop a model rocket. Model rocket sets do not have to be expensive, and then you get the fun of blasting it into the sky after construction. The rocket floats back to earth with a parachute and you can reuse it (unless it is stuck high in a tree and wait several weeks for fall … LOL). You can also think of Remote Control cars, super soaker water guns, a basketball hoop, soccer, football, etc. It is summer, after all, and outdoor toys will have plenty of use. We have a couple of jumps big balls with handles in which the children sit and bounce. Are racing that way. We have something for my daughter, Zoingo Boingo, which listed for kids 8 years, but my child can use very well. It's like a cross between a pogo stick and a ball. You may want to look into getting a ball game – we have one that can be used as a base "t" or adjusts the pitch automatically balls for the child. the use of your child's interests as a guide – do not like sports?
