Has anyone ever seen a point of light in the night sky, the star trip to another in seconds?
He was 13 years. age and playing in the street one night (8:30) and a playing partner pointed to a light moving in the sky. I and about 6 other children looked and saw a spot of light moving in the night sky. It would stop at a star, stopped for a few seconds and move to the next star. The travel time observed from one star to another took about 10-15 seconds (+ -). This point of light is stopped at a star and then go to another star, until it finally disappeared into the horizon. Now I know that travel one star to another in seconds required unheard of speeds. To this day I can not even begin to explain such a feat, but we all saw that night is difficult to understand. Has anyone else ever experienced an event? Addendum: This event occurred in 1963.
Dress up a satellite, probably one of the satellites But maybe Echo. The stars are points of light without dimensions, because of its distance. When the light enters the atmosphere, however, light is scattered the sizes normally found in the neighborhood of 1 / 2 to 1 second of arc. So we appear as small drops. A satellite appears to "stop" when a star crosses because it is hidden from view by the disk of starlight Blobby. When you cross the finish again and see "seems" that is starting. These days you can not pass a night under the sky not see many satellites, and there are many satellites and space junk that even using a telescope (seen in very small portions of the sky) is satellites crossing the field of view many times in the course of one night.
