Gray Grey

Gray Grey
What is the difference between gray and gray?

Grey is the British spelling, the name of Lord Earl Grey (Charles Grey, the first a living from 1729 to 1807). Several of his successors have given us tea and Canadian Football League championship trophy, the Grey Cup. Gray is the American spelling. Both spellings are correct and can be used for color.
