Inspection of motorcycles used – ensuring you get one in perfect condition
Inspection of used motorcycles can be intimidating, especially for new drivers. The following is an excerpt from the book, the perfect motorcycle: How to choose, find and buy the perfect new or used bike. Information provided here will give you a framework to guide their inspections but space limitations preclude a detailed discussion on the subject. One of the keys to finding the perfect bike used to evaluate whether you are looking bike has been well treated and is safe. The best way to determine the suitability of the bike you want to buy is a three-pronged approach. You a) interview the owner, 2) inspect the machine, and then 3) go home and review what you learned. Do all this before bidding.
You can save time and money through interviews with the seller by phone or email before you see the bike in person. You will learn that bicycles are a programming value and make a trip to go see, and that you can take off your list of possibilities. And after that, it is important to assess objectively the facts about the inspection outside the motorcycle with an examination of the inspection.

When you arrange appointments for face to face, do not forget to bring the interview form completed to verify the answers to the above questions.
Pay special attention to: the inspection and negotiation phase are separated. By separating the phases, you will be a much better position to get a great bike at a lower price. Do not negotiate with the seller at this stage inspection process! If you can separate the look and negotiation in two distinct activities, which are also less likely in the shadow of its purchase by a factor falling in love (fall in love with the motorcycle you're looking at). If you need for a fast bike, separated from the inspection of the negotiation with at least one coffee break review of results away from the seller.

Not only are you gathering valuable data for further review, which are much more likely to receive truthful answers if the seller is that they are documenting their responses.

- The information collected will give a good benchmark to compare different bikes for the rest of his career on horseback.
- You strengthen its bargaining position with the seller by demonstrating their expertise.
- The inspection also predict labor and parts necessary to get the bike safe driving conditions and highlight the costs of doing so, in the negotiations.
- As important as the inspection is to determine the condition of the bike, you are face to face with the seller to assess their motives and trust as well.
The following are the steps for an evaluation significant bikes you have selected. Each of these steps is discussed in detail in the book.
- Phone or e-mail interview
- Ask the seller about the mechanical condition, a history of use and maintenance of the bike, and any transferable warranty
- Ask the question energy – "Is there something wrong with this bike?
- Inspection
- VIN Check and validate the title
- Inspect tires
- Review and study fluids
- To evaluate the motor
- To evaluate the electrical system
- Examine the general overall
- Go for a test ride, if you are an experienced runner and has permission from the Seller
- Post-inspection review
- Far from the seller, check their findings with other bikes that have been inspected.
