Coast Guard AMT, life, work,etc?
Just curious about AMT work in the CG. AMT’s are like flight engineers right? When you enlist into this job, what will you learn at the training for this job? Do you need to be good at math to be in this field, if so what kind of math?
Once training is done, what will you do on a regular basis?
how often will you be up flying with the helo?
what kind of work will you be doing on the ground and of the ground?
how often will you work a day? or do hours vary?
do you deploy at all?
what do you do while your in a helicopter?
what makes it fun?

You’ve got a lot of good questions. Your best bet for solid answers is at a recruiter’s office. If you’d like, he’ll let you meet an AMT.
