In Star Wars, if the Jedi had not been destroyed, would the Tie Fighter be the new Jedi Starfighter later on?
I’m just curious because well, You’d think that because the Jedi Starfighters in the 3rd movie were the preceeders of the TIE fighters for the empire
No, because tie fighters are the make of the Empire and not the republic. The fighters that Obi-wan and Anikin are in are not like X-Wings but like the A-wings in episodes 4, 5, and 6. so I would disagree about the Jedi fighters becoming Tie Fighters.
