The King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table – Is chilvalry still alive?

So one day, the King Arthur and Merlin decided go on a hunting trip. Arthur tells his knights after seeing the Queen in her absence. Of course, Arthur does not trust any of them, so he asks Merlin to cast a spell Magic and put a guillotine in the vagina of the queen. Merlin and Arthur made wishes. When returning from the hunt, Arthur lines up all the knights and one by one, are asked to take their pants. One by one, there is a gentleman with a severed penis. And one by one Arthur orders to the gallows. Finally, all of whom have been convicted to die but to Sir Gallahad. At this point, it's all Gallahad shaking. "Well, Gallaher, drop your pants." "Kingdom of Heaven" to be an epic movie, but it became a disaster in the production

Kingdom of Heaven – 1 star (Terrible)

Unfortunately for the "Kingdom of Heaven," which began as a film epic ambitious about a little known time in history, became almost a disaster release and was only average at best. It is not enough apportion blame.

First, there is a reason why the immortal "Gone with the Wind", which involved a turbulent love affair in South United States during the Civil War and Reconstruction, took almost four hours to see. Obviously, you can do some quality, classic film about the Civil War in less time. Ken Burns's acclaimed documentary "The Civil War," consisting of 9 episodes and took 11 hours to see.

Secondly, there may be a market for a film in the Middle Ages on the Christian Crusades, a series of military expeditions by Europeans to recover the Holy Land from the Muslims in the ages 11, 12 and 13. That market, unfortunately, is very small in comparison with an epic about the Civil War, the First World War or the Second World War.

Thirdly, 3-when the time Best Director Oscar nominee Ridley Scott ("Black Hawk Down," "Gladiator" and "Thelma and Louise") submitted the film for the study in 194 minutes (3 hours and 14 minutes), studio executives required to be reduced to two hours, believing that viewers would not sit through a three-hour film.

This proved a critical error in the trial. It was nearly impossible for Scott to tell the history of the Kingdom of Heaven in two hours, and when the film received mixed reviews and it really turned out to be a financial disappointment in the United States, the error was clearly perceptible.

Fourth, not only this film to be an epic, its production cost was enormous. Most of the filming in Morocco, Mohammed VI, King of Morocco, providing 1,500 of its troops, with accompanying teams to assist in the filming.

In addition, there were 15 000 apparently made costumes hand for the film that also need helmets, boots, gloves, chain mail, belts and sheaths. The budget of the flag of the movie was $ 250,000. There Arms 7500, 3000 and 20,000 escudos arrows used in the film. In one scene alone, there were 143 extras, 60 military personnel, 125 horses and 60 camels.

A replica mass of Jerusalem was built in the Sahara Desert, which contains 28,000 square meters of wall that requires 6,000 tons of plaster. The group was 1,200 feet long face and the walls were 56 feet tall. Good grief.

Fifthly, the writer William Monahan's screenplay first draft was 186 pages. The executive producer Lisa Fox thinking Ellzey never approve the script because of its length, so cut the lead to just 20 pages before sending it.

Sixth, Orlando Bloom is not ready to play the main role as Balian of Ibelin, and its performance does not reflect the type of drive and presence to carry it out.

Seventh, I had many difficulties as a movie buff after his presentation of history as they require much more help in context, or a narrator, to understand what he was going on when, and why it was important.

Eighth, the sound of the movie was terrible. There were times when it was impossible to understand dialog box, and without this essential element, there is no way the movie will be evaluated for good I think. The sound is too basic a necessity to have success and, when it goes unnoticed because it is well done, is not a problem.

Ninth, all this project was just to cover. What could have become a good film could not overcome the obstacles on the road. Two bright spots in the film were the performances of Liam Neeson as Godfrey of Ibelin and Ghassan Massoud as Saladin, the great Muslim leader.

In his quest to be noble, Liam Neeson was able to deliver this dialog box as Godfrey of Ibelin: "fearless in the face of our enemies. Be brave and upright that God loves you. Di truth always, even if it leads to death. Safeguard the helpless and do no wrong. That is your oath. "(Talk with your child, Balian, to make him a knight.)

History records that Saladin and his troops made Muslim recapture Jerusalem after defeating the King of Jerusalem at the Battle of Hattin near the Sea of Galilee. When the soldiers of Saladin entered the city of Jerusalem, not allowed to kill civilians, rob people or damage to the city.

In many ways, Muslims come to look better than the Christians in the Kingdom of the Heavens, and historically, they were.
