Paint colors for a very large family room?

I would like some ideas for my living room. It is a large and spacious room with a home very brick fireplace at one end. I am a false Recently painted all the bricks of the fireplace with wines, red and brown and lightly sponge on a light beige brick for an antique look. The walls are light brown now a creamy but the rooms need some color. Afraid I have to paint something bright or bold. We have half ultra suede brown sofa and love seat and our oak furniture is medium. Thanks for any idea.

You do not have to go for bold coloring. Go to a local paint store and pick up some paint samples to take home and watch them on your lighting. You can always paint the walls in a shade or two off you have now (only revitalizes fresh paint everywhere, even if it is near the current color), then you can customize with colors like red or medals gold curtains, floors, cushions, wall decor.
