Toy Story 3 LEGO 2010 Review: September 7597 Western Train Chase
The latest Lego Sets based on Buzz Light year, Woody and the rest of the gang Pixar film Toy Story 3 in June 2010, is a picturesque group called Western Train Chase. Depicts a scene from Toy Story 3, when Hamm (cleverly disguised as the misnamed as Dr. Porkchop by Andy back in the original Toy Story) Rex has trapped in a freight car and threatens to blow the train pieces.
As mentioned above is the set of colors and the intention to represent a toy train that kids would play instead of a recreation of a real train that most Lego sets represent the other trains. No tags in this series which is a blessing and it just adds to the beautiful feeling of Lego has created.
The train system comes with a locomotive and three cars, including a caboose red, green tourism and a gray truck. Although there is no internal details on any of the cars minfigures can fit in and instantly distinguished by their colors. Both the caboose and tourism have opened the doors and roof that can be removed, while the car load has a sliding side door on both sides and a hatch in the roof. The engine is full of wonderful colors and very well designed. It looks like a toy train that you want play.
The figures in the set are a Great Mix. With Woody and Buzz come jeans Jesse Hamm the pig, Rex the dinosaur and the horse Bullseye. The human figures are wonderfully designed and instantly recognizable as their animated counterparts. Bullseye is a highlight and a great model for the future of the horses of Lego. Unlike the current figures equine Bullseye both are mobile so they can appear on the back up.
The price is one of the highest price we've seen Lego. 589 West Railway Chase sells for $ 79.99 and this will likely deter many from this great set to pick up. But kids will love like Pixar and Lego fans as train worth pursuing.
