How do you store your Lego Pieces?

I bought a Mindstorms NXT set and planning to expand with new technical package. I store in an orderly manner, preferably also in a portable form. How to keep your parts? One box is an obvious solution, begging the question: What kind of box? I want to order parts and keep zillion types of pins, apart from one another.
