Why shouldn’t I end my existence?

I am still brooding over a relationship that has ended I think 4 years ago. Since then I have gone down. Been self medicating. In n out of jobs…merely being.
She has another and together they do a good job raising my 7 year old. He knows and loves me but is barely in my life. He is doing so well. No. He is doing great. A student, gotten awards for best in his class, he even builds Lego Sets that are more advanced than his age.
Damn he reminds me of me. And that is the problem. Maybe without me he will grow up to be not like me.
His mother and I were so in love. Things changed and she moved on. I didn’t.
You know when it is said that there is someone for everyone? Well , she was the one for me. It was true love. and I lived it with her. now it is over and done with. it has been for some time.
Since then my life has been drowning in a sea of heartache and despair. I have capitulated into hopelessness. Where is there left to go?

Life is always worth living for! Just think of all the people who loves you- your parents, siblings (if you have), your friends and of course Your Own son…Though you may not be always be beside him, you can always establish a good father & son relationship if you’d want to. A son will never forget a loving and caring father (& friend) despite the distance…he would cherish it and somehow when he grows up, he would be able to look back to it and would do the same (being a loving father) when he will have his own child.

You are entitled to feel that way about a relationship which started so good but had gone sour… Anyone commits mistakes in life but what’s really important is that one should learn to accept (one’s mistake), Forgive oneself (to have done it), and To Learn from it. Somehow you haven’t really forgiven yourself about what had happened that’s why you seem to have difficulty moving on…Try to forgive yourself and the mother of your child (you have loved her before) and learn to let go and get hold of your life again…Be inspired of the thought that inspite of what you had experienced, you are able to get back on your feet and face another day—take care of yourself, pursue new interests, find a job that you like and make good of it, go out with friends and families..just keep your mind occupied with something worthwhile to do (you may want to spend a day at an orphanage and the like) or you may want to go back to school and pursue a challenging course that you like.There’s so much to do everyday-just look around you…

Have Faith and face the future…Remember life is a cycle of ups and downs. Tomorrow is a new day! Wish you well.
