Minifig Capes

Minifig Capes
Does anyone know how to make capes for Lego Minifig?

Some dimensions would be nice or even better a life-size picture which I could trace to make capes with.

Felt would be your fabric of choice — or mine, at any rate. It’s inexpensive, holds a shape beautifully, and doesn’t need anything done to the edges. It comes in lots of fun colors, too. Felt squares are usually available at crafts and fabric stores for about 25c when they’re not on sale. Just ask a salesclerk where the felt squares are.

A cape is about a third of a circle, if you boil it down to basics. Measure the length of the back of the figure you want to costume. Use metric so you don’t have to worry about fractions. Double that measurement and add about 10%. Find a circle that size to trace. Use a bowl, drinking glass, oatmeal box, or anything that’s about the right diameter. Trace this object onto a corner of your felt square. Cut your circle out carefully, staying inside the lines so they won’t show on the finished piece. Divide it into thirds and cut. Round the top point off so it fits the back of the neck of your figure. Attach the cape with a small string or ribbon tied around the figures neck.
