Which tread mill is better? motorized or manual?

We are very lucky here if for one week, the sun will shine straight for 3 days, even during summer time. I would rather walk outside than use a tread mill. But it always rains here. Which would you recommend motorized or manual tread mill?
what is the difference between the two? I know motorized is more expensive. What else?

I believe with a manual treadmill you push the belt yourself. As in, as you put one foot down, you push the treadmill’s surface back with your foot and then put your other foot down. I would not recommend running on a manual treadmill as I bet it would be very difficult and a little unsafe.
