Why do people spread the two pieces of bread to make a sandwich, but only one when making a roll?

I just realized that and ive, and I know others do too. do u? It's a bit strange. Im going to start buttering both sides of my roll now. or try to, honnestly i have no idea why i havnt so far. I think it's just the way my parents did it and without thinking I was hooked. but both sides from now!

I butter both sides of bread, rolls, croissants, etc.

Beginners Chess – Parts

Pawns
You start with eight of these so it pays to know how they move! Pawns only can move forward in a straight line. For the first move of each pawn can move two spaces forward (not jumping on anything) from there can only move one square at a time. Of course, if you just want to move your pawn one square on the first move you can do instead. The peons take the opponent's pieces by moving forward diagonally one square to the left or right.

Pawn Promotion
Since pawns can only move forward that would useless once they reached the other side. This is where promotion comes into play pawn As soon as your pawn reaches the other side of the board should be replaced by a new piece! You can choose any piece than a pawn or a king. Almost always, people choose to promote to a queen.

Note: contrary to what some think they can still promote to a queen, even if you already have a queen on the board (giving two queens).

Gentlemen (horse)
Knights can be quite difficult to get to grips with the animals that are unpredictable and can be difficult to keep under control! Horses are the only piece that can jump over Other Pieces. Knights move in an L-shaped move two squares in any direction (except diagonal) before stepping aside a square.

Note: Men can cover a large area around them so it is best to avoid them in the side of the board, where only half of its potential is usable. Here, instead of covering eight seats of your knight covers only four.

Bishops
Bishops (Sitting among the knights and the King / Queen) can only move diagonally. However you can move any number of squares and can be very mobile. A bishop starts on a black square and white and on due to how they move these remain in their own color in the entire game.

It is normal that the bishops who are placed in a place where they cover one of the long diagonal through of the center of the board.

Rooks (Castles)
Rooks is one of the most simple to understand but one of the most powerful. It can move any number of squares in any horizontal or vertical.

Queens
The queen is the most powerful piece that has so be sure to take care of it! If you lose is to make sure you take your opponent's queen as a result.

The queen combines the moves of the tower and bishop. That is, to move any number of boxes in either a diagonal, horizontal or vertical.

Reyes
If the king is a responsibility! However, in the end game the king becomes a very effective offensive piece. It is after all, the only exception of the queen can move diagonally, horizontal and vertical. The difference is that you can only move one square at a time.
