When I was in grade school a teacher had a play set in the future with archaeologists digging US cities?

What I remember of it was the archaeologists were digging in 3 US cities and they found signs that they read as N Yok, Chago and Los Ankles. I remember it being funny and we did it as a shadow play in the 5th grade, but I can’t remember what it is. Anyone heard of it?
