tanganyikan question?

I saw a pic and a real cichlid at a LFS and it had pointy teeth, looked long with colors like a brichardi. Long like a barracuda witch is a fish from the sea. Do any one know the possible name?

I really wish you had a photo, it would make this a lot easier. I can’t think of any Tanganyika cichlids that fit that description, but that’s not to say that the fish your thinking of isn’t one. By reading the description you gave, I think of either a Trout cichlid or a Malawi Eye Biter, but both of them are from Lake Malawi and neither have pointy teeth. When first reading the description about the teeth, I really thought of a African Tiger Fish, but that isn’t from Tanganyika or Malawi, but dose have some gnarly teeth.
