How I can play my friend in Star Wars Battlefront 2 using an Ethernet cable to pc?

My friend and I have bad internet connection so we want play battlefront 2 star wars with each other through an ethernet cable. My problem is how I can get two CF-18 laptops to work with an Ethernet cable to play against each other. Thanks for the help!

Sad that work normally. You have to play Battlefront 2 wireless LAN or GameSpy. I know it sucks, I have the same game and when he tried dial-up. Sorry man.
