what type of fasteners through high 3.5 by 0.5 thick MDF is a material
I have seen three methods. Adhesive. Screws. I'd use adhesive on the screws, only for the time it would take. The last one, which would take some time, too. Nails. Run a strip of 1 / 2 "plywood nailer in the bottom of the wall slightly shorter than the base before drywall. Hangers put plaster over plywood. Then nail the plywood. You probably want to stick with adhesive.
