The best way to fix a wall stud top plate of a mezzanine RSJ? The walls are not load!?
I have to build a large, but the burden, bearing stud walls not in our workshop. The problem is that the mezzanine against which I want to ensure the top plate is a steel beam construction, about 3 meters soil. I guess that affect the integrity of steel if you just drill and bolt the top plate to the bottom chord with, for example, an M8 bolt. Is there a setting established that could be attached to the top of the top plate and stop just change back and forth with mounting studs tightly holding the only top plate in place. The mezzanine is a good support, and will charge carried a minimum, all the winches and heavy machinery are down on the concrete. Any ideas? Thank you very much
you have really answered Your Own question .. 8mm bolts are well .. and will not affect the integrity of steel .. one every 2 meters .. I have done many times and complying with building regs
