The evaluation of telemetry data
The telemetry word, like all English words, is the culmination of the Greek words tele meanings remote and metron meaning measure. Therefore, Telemetry is the science and technology of remote measurement and data transmission by radio or other inaccessible places, from orbiting satellites and space vehicles, to receive stations that recorded the telemetry data and analysis. By example, the Hubble Space Telescope generated in the order of 6000 data telemetry values, many of which are sampled at 1 Hz, and several hundreds of parameters being sampled at 40 Hz
When these systems are used for control and telemetry data collection, control and oversight of the deadline and data acquisition apply. Rangefinder is the instrument used to record instrument readings and radio transmission. A driver called collects, formats and stores the data in a dedicated buffer, and then transfers data to the receiving station. Although telemetry has a large number of possible applications, is mainly used for collecting data from remote locations and transmitting the information to a point where it is evaluated. After each telemetry data is read in the core elements selected data is extracted and placed in arrays for further processing. Sometimes this process needs to extract and examine the values of the elements of one or more data before the extraction of other items. For example, a flag in the data may indicate which of several data formats appear in, and the location of other elements data within the registry depends on this format. Computers are necessary in this field of study because of its speed computation and analysis. Even some of the "The super computers "available to large companies and organizations are not able to completely analyze the amounts of input data. The computing time is an example. Conditions change faster than most supercomputers can keep up. (That's why the weatherman is often wrong.)
The usefulness of telemetry data to determine the physiological and behavioral patterns of wild animals can not be overstated. Telemetry helps scientists to understand and identify natural causes that are linked to habitat conditions of wild animals, which in turn change their behavior, and how these conditions affect their mortality rates. This data also provides a means to study and predict the effects of environmental changes such as thermal, chemical pollution and other geophysical changes. Telemetry has many other useful applications, for example in medical research that is used to measure the electrical response of devices equipped in cardiac patients. A citation alert function to the nurse if the patient is in critical condition. There are more applications of telemetry data that are listed in this article.
