An easy way to get X-Wing vs Tie fighter working XP?
I’ve got (sorry to say) XP home on this machine and it won’t run the good old X-Wing vs Tie Fighter on it.
Any suggestions (other than building a DOS machine)? Make it step by step as I’ve never used an emulator.
AS far as I remember, XWVSTF runned smoothly on my old computer, with Win98, so I don’t really see why it shouldn’t run under XP… have you tried editing progam properties and setting it to run under Win98 compatibility mode? Or else, try manually adjusting EXT memory and EXP memory if it’s a DOS executable.
Or esle, get X-Wing Alliance. It’s not half as good as XWvsTIE but… has some good mods.
