Was there anything in particular that caused you or your parents to start locking the doors of your home?

In the mid 60's, had a violation and the vicious murder in our small town. It was very frightening for all the neighbors were locking the doors and was never the same. Before that, it was common a small town out of car doors, open windows, and opened the doors of the house. I live in a much bigger city and do not dare to leave their vehicle sitting in your driveway without blocking.

I grew up in North Hollywood, CA. Do not even have the keys to our house until 1969 (I was thirteen). And we had to call a locksmith in the key of our house – because …. The Manson murders were about 20 miles from our house …. changed the security of Los Angeles. There we begin to block our home. Good luck.
