What toys and activities used to improve gross and fine motor children?

I especially want to hear from teachers and garden preschool-age infant. My first six years of age grade are educated at home and is clumsy in sports (football season is their first contact with organized sports.) He also writes his letters from the bottom up, a habit that makes for the scrambled letters and it is very difficult to break. I have a year old that will be four five in November, is in the nursery part-time and will be in kindergarten next fall. He spends much time playing with small cars, pencils colors, and blocks, tinker toys also, Lincoln Logs and wooden Train Tracks are your favorites. However, his writing is so great and scribbles as I'm concerned, be "acceptable to kinder" next fall! You can type a few letters, his own name, you can copy the forms and cut with scissors OK. Any toy or I can FUN activities expose it to prepare for kindergarten? I think I'm a bit scary because her older brother had some serious fine motor difficulties gross motor.

Is it left-handed (the funny writing)? My daughter is and write that much and am trying very hard to keep my son left-handed do the same. Home educated as well. Do you belong to an association of home schooling? How about co-op? both have physical education programs here and that is what we can do to help with sports. The self four sounds pretty good in the way of writing will improve as time passes and these are my 5 yo favorite activities. Try to stop writing in a cup of sand or on a blackboard or anything that can be mistaken for fun.
