U.S. Marshal Matt Dillon stopped into the Long Branch Saloon on his evening rounds. Ever since he had broken up with Miss Kitty, he spent as little time as possible there. When Kitty had first found out that he had fallen in love with Sunshine MacGillicutty, she was devastated. Her only solace seemed to come from the bottle….Randy Scouse Git Rotgut, to be exact. And her drinking was only getting worse.
Kitty looked up and saw Matt at the swinging doors:

Kitty: “Well, hello, Romeo. How’s ‘SunnySide Down,’ these days?”
Matt looked her straight into her bloodshot eyes…..”Kitty, you ignorant slut. I’m staying just long enough to check on things and then I’m outta here.”

Kitty:”What’s your rush ? I thought maybe you and I could get reaquainted……Upstairs……. All night long.” She batted her long, false eyelashes. One of them fell in her drink.
Matt:” Gee! I can’t wait to get started back up on the Storm Trooper blaster I’ve been working on. It’s in my office. It’s really neato!”
Kitty: ” You moron! I offer you my body and you …..Oh! Forget it!! (1.) “It takes a real man to love a woman like me.” She took another swig from the bottle and belched in her frilly sleeve. “I know you’re afraid that Sunshine will find out. Don’t worry. She won’t. (5.)Fear is the heart of love, Matt. I KNOW you still love me!!!
She offered Matt a sip of her drink…..”It has a real fruity taste. Try it….You’ll like it.”
He reluctantly took a wee taste…….(6.) ” There is nothing fruity about it… except for that fruit there.” He pointed to a glass door that reflected her image.
Sam The Bartender :”(3.) If there was a mirror there she would have broken it.” He giggled as he wiped the bar down , over and over again.

Kitty:” Oh, yeah……Well in that case….. See ya!!” She closed the doors and went back inside.
