Star Wars question – why are there no Battle Droids in the original trilogy?
So from my understanding, after the republic lost the war, most of the Clone Troopers turned into stormtroopers, so what happened to the battle droids? Do they not have an explanation as to why there are no battle droids in the original trilogy? Where were the droids manufactured anyway?
Well the creator of the Battle Droid army got killed by Anakin Skywalker in Episode Iii Revenge of the Sith, while in a “meeting” on the volcanic planet where Anakin later fought Obi-Wan. And they didn’t feel the need to use them when they obtained Stormtroopers.
