Mace Windu not survive ..?

After of seeming defeat Darth Sidious and about to shoot lights, Anakin lightsaber and cut his hand, immediately stop pretending Darth Sidious weakness and zaps Mace Windu ray strength and pull him out into the street below. Mace is supposed to die in the fall, if not died from the effects of lightning force. As a matter of fact, the Bank Data of Star Wars (Star Wars official source) states that he died. There are novels about the official Star Wars canon mentioned Mace Windu after Episode Iii. However, some fans think that the Master Mace Windu, being so full powers in the Force, somehow survived and went into exile until the opportunity to come back.
