Your Own

Your Own
How can design your own guitar effects pedals?

I built a few BYOC kits, and know how to weld and understand different components. But I wondered, what if you want to come with its own completely original design. Where to go to learn the theory behind certain combinations of parts used to produce certain sounds? Are all testing? Or is there some logic to it?

There is a logic to it, but is built more on understanding the formation of sound effect instead of electronics. If a particular effect is the duplication of part of the signal and delay – as the type heard singing in church when suddenly the song sounded like several people is light chorus, then you have to realize this is a duplicate voice with a slight delay and mix again – you have to make a delay circuit or control circuits and the delay pedal strong and then mix the output circuits – You can also include adjusting the volume control is stronger between two or more beings lower volume – ie the "real" that we identify as the lead singer is actually the delay increased volume, the first voice is reduced. The foot pedal may be changing the cutoff point (s) of a filter, changing the mix, etc. but the change of sound is first identified.
